Jobskin® Q10 Vest & Leggings in Fairy & Castle |
With over 40 years of excellence in rehabilitation therapy and bespoke garment design, we felt it was time to refresh our offering for the management of scaring. This new collection reaffirms the company’s commitment to innovation, comfort, and superior patient care and brings together advances in fabrics and garment design.
We consulted with 13 key burns units and gathered inputs from experienced clinicians to help guide what they wanted to see improved and expanded. The result is New Jobskin Premium.
The new range now offers even more choice in the way the garments are constructed and finished enabling the clinician to better meet the needs of the patient.
Examples of this include the option to select the seam placement on a legging such that it can be located on the outside of the leg, or the inside of the leg enabling the seam to be positioned away from the burn area. The same is possible with sleeves, as well as new axilla designs to improve comfort and fit in vests. Multiple options for types of finishing, fastenings and elastic can now be selected simply by ticking a box.
There are three distinct fabric types to choose from. We have kept our high performing traditional Powernet, our “Original” fabric line. It is available in the range of colours and prints as it has always been.
New to our fabric offering is Jobskin Premium Active. A smooth and fine knit with a high elastane content bringing a sporty and contemporary edge to compression therapy. This fabric cannot ladder due to the type of knitting and has UV protection > 50Spf. Available in two initial colourways with co-ordinated threads and finishes to complete the sporty visual appeal.
Finally with our Jobskin® Q10 fabric we introduce skincare benefits to the garments. This is a Powernet fabric which has been knitted with yarn containing ceramic microcapsules which contain Q10. Otherwise known as ubiquinone, Q10 coenzyme is a natural component of the skin and enhances moisturisation and can improve elasticity and hydration of the skin. It has a prolonged release over many washes and is activated by body heat, mechanical pressure from the inherent compression of the garment and natural friction from movement while wearing the garment. The Q10 fabric also has a square knit stretch and higher elastic recovery maintaining its performance and improved fit. Available in five skin tone shades designed to match Fitzpatrick types II to VI, and two new print designs.
Lastly, while all these new designs and fabrics can be ordered on a traditional digital order form, we developed an App for ordering. This brings multiple benefits and facilitates repeat orders without having to complete a whole new form.
