The SDO® below knee sock

The Jobskin® SDO® sock is a made-to-measure sensory dynamic orthosis sock. Designed so the clinician can select from a range of reinforcement panels which are used to achieve the desired result. The sock is a full contact Lycra® sock that can be used to increase proprioceptive and sensory feedback whilst providing musculo-skeletal support and alignment. It can also be used to assist dorsi-flexion/resist plantar flexion. Choose from a range of personalisation options which include patterned zips, bindings and motifs, all included free of charge.

Silicone edging – if required, must be requested at time of ordering. The silicone edging can be placed at the top of the sock or at the distal end of the sock for open toes. The silicone edging adds comfort and reduces ‘slipping’.

Zip placement  is at the front of the sock to reduce pressure against the skin. Please consider which hand the patient/client is able to use as this will influence the position of the zip to enhance independence. All zips below the knee are usually open zips and can be positioned at the front, back, outside or inside of the leg.
